Read reports

Availability:Timeora TimeFeature: reportsPermission: reports.read

All reports live on one page. The report type and the entity you are looking at are part of the URL, so a report can be bookmarked, shared or linked from another page.

Open reports
  1. Open Time tracker and select Reports.
  2. Pick the report type in the header.
  3. Set the date range. It starts as the same range you used in the timer.
  4. Select the project, client, user or team the report should cover, when the type asks for one.

The URL carries both the type and the entity, for example /timetracker/reports?type=project&id=…. Opening that link restores exactly the same view.

The period at a glance: total tracked time, the split across projects and the balance against the expected schedule. Start here when you want to know whether the number looks right before drilling in.

Time per project, with the activities inside each project. Use it to compare tracked time with the budget and to spot projects that consume more than planned.

Time per activity across projects. Use it to answer questions such as “how much time goes into meetings” or “how much non-billable administration do we have”.

Everything tracked for one client across all of its projects. This is the report to open before an invoice or a client review.

The work of a single person. Available to administrators, because it crosses team boundaries.

The work of a team. Available to managers who own a team; the team’s members define the scope.

Changing the date range does not change the report type or the selected entity. If a report looks empty, check the range first — especially after switching from last month to this week.

  • They do not change data. If an entry is wrong, fix it in the timer and return to the report.
  • They do not replace accounting. Invoices are created in the accounting module, which uses the same tracked time but has its own document lifecycle.
