FAQ

Why is a module missing from the navigation?

Section titled “Why is a module missing from the navigation?”

Two reasons are possible, in this order:

  1. Your licence tier does not include it. For example, accounting and CRM are part of Timeora One.
  2. Your role does not have the module’s read permission. Without read access the module is hidden rather than shown empty.

Compare both gates in Roles and permissions.

Why can I open a page but not change anything?

Section titled “Why can I open a page but not change anything?”

Read access opens the page; create, update and delete are separate permissions. If the Add or Save controls are missing, your role holds the read permission but not the write permission.

A timer belongs to your account, not to the browser tab. Open Time tracker again and the running entry is still there. Only one timer runs at a time — starting another one stops the previous entry.

Why is my week total different from what I expected?

Section titled “Why is my week total different from what I expected?”

Check three things:

  1. The date range selected in the timer.
  2. Entries without a project, which still count towards your time but not towards project reports.
  3. The organisation’s working-time settings, which decide expected hours and break deductions.

Worked time comes from the punch clock. Expected time comes from the schedule in the organisation’s settings, reduced by public holidays and recorded absences. Reports and the work time account use the same calculation.

Can I use Timeora outside Microsoft Teams?

Section titled “Can I use Timeora outside Microsoft Teams?”

Timeora is built for Teams and the Microsoft 365 app host, and many organisations also publish a direct link. Sign-in always uses your Microsoft 365 account.

Is my data shared with other organisations?

Section titled “Is my data shared with other organisations?”

No. Every record belongs to your organisation’s tenant, and requests are scoped to that tenant. Users only ever see the data their tenant and role allow.

Open the entry in Time tracker and change the start time, duration, project, activity or note. Deleting removes it everywhere, including from invoices that have not been issued. Both actions need the matching timeEntries.* permissions.

Email and call tracking is synchronised in the background rather than read live. A new message appears after the next synchronisation run, not immediately.

Use About → Support in the app to send a ticket, or write to info@timeora.io. Contact support lists what to include so the answer arrives faster.
